We had our grand opening of the Club House on Thursday at Portofino Equestrian Community. It was a huge success with lots of big names in Real Estate and Community Leaders.

The evening started with Moonshine Martinis at The Red Roof Inn, then we had trolleys ferry folks through the stables and around the pond and on to the Club House.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We had  Italian themed food set up at the Piazza overlooking the pool. It was great to see so many people enjoy the beauty of Portofino and the response we received was beyond our expectations.

We were also able to use the event to tell everyone about our awards we won at the Annual NCHBA Stars Awards.

It was great to see the reaction from people as they heard about the four hundred acres and seven miles of trails and the biggest deal for most people was the fact that Clayton is so close to  Downtown Raleigh, Research Triangle Park, Raleigh Durham International Airport.

Riverwood Athletic Club in Clayton is a planned community with features such as a fitness center, swimming pools, day care, learning center,some shops and both Riverwood Elementary and Riverwood Middle in the development. There are townhomes that start at about $105,000 and estate homes that can be as high as $490,000.
The zip code 27527 which is where Riverwood Athletic Club is located was recently named in the top ten in the country by BusinessWeek Magazine for having the best schools combined with the most affordable housing. Both schools are considered some of the best in the state. There is a new high school that will open in the Fall of 2010 which will take grades nine and ten called Corinth Holders High.
Riverwood Athletic Club is a short drive to Downtown Clayton, about twenty five minutes to Raleigh and two short hours to the beach.
